It's been brought to my attention that emergency maintenance is required at the datacenter tonight. Apparently, one of the core network switches is having issues, and has been causing lagging and latency issues for some time now. They have decided to replace it (or a module) tonight at midnight EST.

Internet connectivity will be interrupted as they take this switch offline to repair.

Sorry for the inconvenience. This one's out of my control.

whatever happened last night, i'm not sure if it affected us or not. the bandwidth graphs for the server show traffic flowing in and out all around the time they said they were doing the maintenance. either that, or it was very quick.

Me, CC, and K-Star were spamming the shoutbox until at about 12:15, lol.  I was online until about 1am or so, I did notice the page wouldn't load for like 10 seconds, but after that, it was fine. Maybe that was when it happened? Probably wasn't very long at all. Sometimes outages are announced to be longer than they are going to be, just to be safe.
