Predictably, I use a DAISY-Luigi combo with Daisy's kart. In fact, I think unless I was trying out new karts/characters, that's pretty much the ONLY duo I've used... >_>; Maybe a couple of times with Peach/Daisy, but not as much really...
EDIT: ACK, I'm dyslexic today.... I meant Daisy and I said Peach.... x_x;

I use the koopa minions in whatever kart looks pretty at the moment. I don't even know which karts drive the best.

I always use Paratroopa and Bowser Jr with the Koopa Dasher kart. Yoshi is usually my favorite Mario Kart character, but I only can do really well in Double Dash with light weight characters.
I like Paratroopa because red shells (especially when getting the item that lets you carry three of them) are always handy and can let you catch up to someone pretty quick. Bowser Jr's big spiky shell is good to throw backwards when you are in first place.

I normally play Mario-Baby Mario. I play Waluigi's or the Parade Kart.I love Baby Mario's special item(can't remeber the name of it. grr) with the combo of Mario's fireballs.

I'm pretty partial to Koopa Troopa/Bowser Jr. on Boser Jr.'s Bullet Bill kart. I prefer lighter characters and the Bullet Bill kart has the highest top speed out of all the lightweight karts. I like the specials for Troopa and Jr., so that works well anyway. |

I like to use Baby Luigi and Diddy in Baby Luigi's stroller. The Chain Chomp is great if you fall behind in a higher CC, and Diddy gets those giant bananas all the time, perfect when I'm in first.  I sometimes use Toad/Toadette in either one of their carts, but I usually keep Diddy. My third favorite is Bowser and King Boo in the Boo Pipes.  |

Koopa/Paratroopa in the basic Koopa kart. I like shells and I like koopas. Koopa ftw. Now where are my goombas and shy guys?
