I've decided to install a mod which allows Lightbox to be used on the forum. (For those who don't know what Lightbox is, go to http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/

Usage is simple. Using [ img ] tags, attach your image. All images displayed in topics are now clickable, which will launch the Lightbox..funky thing.

=)

it's just become evident to me that if there's multiple images in the thread, then if you click on the first image, then hover over the top right hand corner of the picture in lightbox, you get a "Next" button, to scroll through the pics on that post as a slideshow. similarly, top left corner gets you a "Prev" button.
i really like this mod!! lol

Dan, how do you get those arrows?

In my thread on "tech support" I posted several links to images. The first one is the only one that gets "light boxed" the  rest don't. When I hover over the pic from the 1st...nothing happens. Elaborate plz.

i think you have to use [ img ] tags, not just posting the URL. i noticed that yesterday as well when you posted it. whether it's supposed to do that or not with just plain links to images i don't know. if it is, then there's a bug in it which is stopping it from detecting the other jpg URL's in the post.
I might take a look at that today and see if i can work out what it's doing, and try and fix it.

i've identified a bug with the lightbox url detection. doesn't seem to be very good, but i've not completely gotten my head around how it works and picks the correct urls/images up yet in the message.
i've got an updated version of the software on the test site, along with the database and i'm trying to fix it. i'll post back here when it's done =)

Try using what Nintendo uses on smashbros.com, http://jquery.com/ and http://jquery.com/demo/thickbox/

I use jQuery for IE6 CSS issues and a plugin called textgrad for text gradients on SW. It's a great framework.

i've uninstalled this mod for technical reasons, and a handful of bugs that it has that i don't have time to fix. i will be trying out adura's suggestion on the test rig to see if that can work correctly, and perhaps write a mod of my own. we'll see.
