OK, so i am not a writer... and i am certainly not a reviewer, but I do enjoy ranting about games i have had fun with. so here goes.

The Wii has been in dire need of some more 'edgier' games lately... just when everything seemed to be remixes of games that one can play at your local seasonal fair and other games that seemed to be put together in my laundry room in about 30 days with my dog acting as director and my sister as concept artist (i love my sister. lol)... along comes: MadWorld.

You are Jack. No really, you are.
Without giving the plot away, you have agreed to partake in games/challenges within a city which is currently in lockdown, due to a widespread virus.
The only remnants of civilized individuals, which aren't very civilized mind you, are a host of violent gangsters.
Anyway, plot and setting aside, you have a chainsaw strapped to your right arm and you are supposed to cut the shit up out of anyone that gets in your way and try to stack up as many consecutive kills for high points. Oh yeah, and don't be shy about being creative!
From impaling a foe with a roadsign or two, to skewering them into something called a Rosebush (dont ask me, it makes sense though, you'll understand when you see it) you will have a plethora of different ways to put an end to their sad little lives.
Don't forget that you still have that chainsaw strapped on!
And that is where the motion controls come in.
I have to admit, it's not motion plus (though that would've been hella cool), but it does a fairly good job of giving you control of how you slice and dice your foes. simply swinging vertically makes Jack perform uppercuts (i think), and horizontally makes him land heavy punches... you can also tap A to let out flurries... but here is the best part: when B is held Jack activates his chainsaw and its party time!
With a monochromatic color scheme which consists of only ONE color, that being RED, the rest of the world contains no color at all (cause black and white are NOT colors... though an art major would argue that white is the presence of ALL colors and black is the LACK of colors....) and when Jack starts up that chainsaw of his...i have to admit, i havent laughed harder in a guilty pleasure kind of way. ^___^
Similar to the punches he throws, swinging vertically and horizontally while that chainsaw is revved up, will slice and dice foes like no other (with a satisfying gush of blood squirting from the pieces of their bodies to boot).
If an enemy is stunned, either from having taken a beating or from being impaled so much, you will be able to finish them in a very cinematic manner. you will know when this is possible when you are standing by them an an icon appears over their heads. this will trigger a mini sequence where you will be prompted to hold B and then ask that you swing either vertically or horizontally, which will disembowel your foe and they will know pain!! ^___^
So far I've seen jack tear their hearts out and crush them in his palm, stick them in the gut with the chainsaw and rip straight up (thus splitting their upper bodies in half)... another one, and this one is one of my favorites: I have seen Jack grab a foe by a leg and bash them left and right while swinging them overhead... its kind of hard to describe... but its extremely gnarly and very VERY fun(ny)!
The game is divided into stages, with minigames thrown in between to spice things up... these are some of the weirdest and most obscene minigames ive ever played in my entire life... and the pimp (yes pimp) which introduces you to each one of them is hilarious in that i-hope-mom-isnt-around-to-see-this kind of way. ^___^
The game also has bosses, and though challenging the first time around, i found that some of them were too easy once you figure out their pattern... nevertheless the kills are extremely creative and fun to watch.

Hmmm... the bad parts about this game is that the camera has minor problems, sometimes i had trouble seeing where i was going and the camera would not necessarily stay centered when i wanted it, but that is small... other times the motion recognition was not the best... maybe i was just too caught up in the mayhem to do them properly or maybe i just missed the window of opportunity, but still, i was a bit let down by that...
small gripes, but even with them, this game deserves at the very least a freaking rental!!
If you haven't noticed, this game is not for the kiddies, or the faint of heart.
This game is hilarious, but it is also extremely gory!
The artwork is highly stylized, and its very well done. Its very reminiscent of old black and white comic books, which is awesome!!
It does have a multiplayer but i havent tried it out yet >_>
not good thing for a review i know, but its my first one... ^__^;
As of right now, i am currently stuck in a boss fight towards the end of the game... stupid water being electrified by the stupid boss and draining most of my health away in one sec.

A solid title worth playing. Go out there and get yourself a fucking copy, and dont play this game until the kids are asleep!

well... comments? feedback?
