Well like I've said in another thread, I'm kind of unsure what to think, because FPS games aren't my thing usually, but I'm VERY glad to see someone taking the Wii seriously. Although I highly doubt others will follow their lead, it'd sure be nice, but from what I hear, several anonymous workers have reported that publishers(not developers) actually reject great ideas on a regular basis because they "know" that Wii is a casual market, and can only be given casual games. High Voltage Software was even quoted as saying that a publisher scoffed at them, and offered to publish the game as a TWENTY-DOLLAR-TITLE as it was, with whatever levels were ready to be completed, and hand it off to the market just like that. That really kinda ticks me off, so I'm glad to see that they're doing what they are.
But like I said, I'm just....not into it REALLY really, but I'd like to see that kind of effort more often, and I hope that they sell and especially rate decently(and I hope for a good rating for their sake of course).

I really hope this game is successful, but you never really know when you have these motion controls. Sometimes they make games so much cooler and easier to play, and sometimes they can just be a pain in the butt. The game looks interesting, but it doesn't really look like anything special to me shooter-wise. I mean, it just looks like they took themes from several other sci-fi/alien shooters.

Well, it "was" at e3, just behind closed doors. For whatever reason Nintendo just figured they shouldn't show off stuff people would be interested in seeing. I mean really, do they think the casual audience is watching e3? Uh huh, right.
I'm looking forward to it and this isn't a genre I really play. I've wanted to, but silly TTL stuck to Nintendo and got cut off, pretty much, from this category. I really want to believe that someone can take the time to make a solid game like this for Wii. I hope it's good and I hope it sells. It'd make me sick to finally see this done right and then the title doesn't sell because we need more games like Wii Music . . .
Ugh . . .

I feel cut off from the whole hardcore category which is why my excitement for this game is high. This is also why I want a 360 so bad.

I think it wasn't at the show because they don't have a publisher yet(although I think I heard they've had some people offer, they just want to have most of the game finished before they get a publisher, so the publisher has less chance to try to run-the-show and change things). Then again, it seems like E3's original purpose was for developers to attract publishers and drum up support for their games, but maybe I just have it wrong, or things have changed...

I'm not exactly sure what it is supposed to make me believe, so...
- In terms of FPS games / controls, Metroid Prime 3 already accomplished that. But it is definitely great that a third party developer realizes the potential for FPS games on Wii. Hopefully more developers will follow. - In terms of quality third party games: There are already a bunch out there, but not enough. As stated above, hopefully this will also make developers realize the potential for their games on Wii.
